Married in Morzine in 1999  Michelle and Gordon have a wealth of local knowledge and a genuine love of the area that they are happy to share with you. As the name suggests when you stay with them you are not just on a skiing holiday, but as the French say “chez Michelle” at home with Michelle, a home from home atmosphere with superb surroundings and service.

Michelle trained at Leith’s School of Food and Wine in Kensington, London. She has since worked all over the USA, Ireland, England, France and nowlives in Morzine. Her assignments have  ranged from cocktail parties for US senators, dinner parties for TV celebrities to small beach BBQ’s. She has worked extensively on many luxury hotel barges including prestigious Orient Express boats, cruising the beautiful canal networks within France. Michelle brings a wealth of experience and knowledge and her love of food and wine to the table each night. Gordon has been residing in France and specifically the Alps for many years. He has been skiing since the age of six in Scotland. Ask him all about snowboarding (he started in 1979). He can show you all around this wonderful resort and have a different story for every run!

Together they live in nearby St Jean D’Aulps with occasional stints on boats where they cruise the canals of France (Gordon is a qualified barge pilot) and top up their cellar from the surrounding vineyards.
